Study in Ireland: Maynooth University Teaching Studentships 2018

Funded student teaching assistant opportunities are now open for applications across a range of disciplines at Maynooth University. Successful applicants will commence PhD Doctoral studies at Maynooth University in Autumn 2018 and will have 5 years to complete their PhD. The funding offered includes:


- Full annual tuition fees support (approximately €6200 per annum);

- A fixed stipend of €9007 per annum;

In addition to their PhD research, the recipient of the Teaching Studentship will support the teaching and assessment duties of their Department up to a maximum of 455 hours per annum.

Funded PhD Teaching Studentship in Theoretical Physics

The Department of Experimental Physics is pleased to announce that a departmental PhD Teaching Studentship will be available for one student intending to commence PhD or PhD-track studies in October 2018.

The Studentship will be in the area of terahertz science and technology including applications in astronomical instrumentation for space.

Applications will be accepted up to the closing date of 29th June 2018.​

Funded PhD Teaching Studentship in Law

The Department of Law is pleased to announce that two departmental PhD Studentships will be available for two students intending to commence PhD studies in Law in September 2018.

Applications will be accepted up to the closing date of 30th June 2018.

The applications will be evaluated by the PG Research Committee of the Law Department and results will be communicated to the applicants in mid- July 2018.

Funded PhD Teaching Studentship in Sociology

The Department of Sociology is pleased to announce a PhD Teaching Studentship opportunity is now open for applications. This funded opportunity provides fees and €9,007 stipend support per annum for 5 years of a PhD. The successful applicant will undertake 455 hours of teaching support for the Department per annum.

Closing date for applications is the 22nd June 2018.
